What's The Definition of Earthy?

Earthy: A wine-tasting term used to define aromas likened to earthy materials (i.e. mushrooms or freshly turned soil) and tastes that often have a drying mouth feel. This comes from a naturally occurring bacteria present in the soil and too much of it can actually cause the wine to taste corked.
