What's The Definition of Filtering?

Filtering: Removing unwanted particles in the wine such as suspended solids, yeast or malolactic bacteria. This can be done through different methods such as passing the wine through membranes, cellulose pads or diatomaceous earth. Sweet wines must be filtered to remove yeast and prevent re-fermentation in the bottle.
