What's The Definition of Zinfandel?

Zinfandel: a red grape whose origins are debated, but most agree stems from Croatia. It is a popular variety in California and makes a well-balanced, robust red wine. The grape has high sugar content, which when fermented can give the wine an alcohol content higher than other wines.
